I took some photos at one of Rachels friends baby shower. Heather is due in October and she had a nice little get-together at her sister’s house to celebrate….
the first game was “draw a baby on your head”….very intense!

…next was “name that baby food flavor”…
someone was happy to win!
…and finally there was “baby diaper bowling”..

So while Rob was away hiking I went to Morgan’s 7th birthday party at Janet and Keith’s. It was a hula party/water fight. I tried whenever possible to always be holding either my camera or the baby so that i didnt get shot, but there were a few times i got tagged in the face…
…the weather was perfect for an outside party…

Rob and I had a super low key 4th of July. I made a yummy pasta salad….
…then hung outside for a couple of hours. I even had a beer! Rob was so shocked that he had to get a picture of it.
….he made BBQ chicken and couscous. It was great. I took a pic of it but when I downloaded it today I was so bummed at how blurry it was! Must have been the beer. hhaha
We went over to Castaways and watched the fireworks show that was going on at Newport Dunes. As soon as it started the group sitting in front of us decided to stand up for the show. After yelling at them a couple of times with no results we just moved and then enjoyed the fireworks.

Well last weekend Rob, Ray and Ray’s best friend Spenser went on a 3 day hiking trip to the Sierra’s. This was Rob’s first hiking trip and he said that he had a blast (so did the mosquito’s) and that he will for sure do it again! The highest elevation was 11,400 ft. and they hiked just over 20 miles in the three days.
Some of the pictures below are ones that Spenser sent over so enjoy!

If only I could find a desk like this, and a printer stand like that, I would be happy in this world. I tell ya, I have been on a non-stop search for the perfect desk. This one, my friends, is perfect. I have always LOVED metal desks, but they are often soo expensive. Why doesnt anyone want to post them on craigslist in the “free” section so my search can be over!!??

So there’s this chair in my parents alley and I have been DYING to take pictures with it. I was out there a couple of weekends ago and i grabbed my moms camera and my niece Jade for a last minute shoot before the sun went down. I’m still working on the rest, so here’s a couple to look at for now…

Tonight one of our FAVORITE shows started back up- Top Chef -
So I thought I’d post what we had for dinner….
Pork Tenderloin, Chipotle Black Eyed Peas, Rice and Sauteed Spinach..
THEN, this was for dessert…
hahaah just kidding people! Rob made it at work a couple of weeks ago…

It all started at 4ish on Friday morning, then i got a call from Brian with an update around 10 in the morning. By 2ish i was on my way to their house. when i pulled up this is what i saw from the master bedroom window…
gotta get that tub set up!!!
Shalimar labored for about an hour, the baby came at 3:50. It was, like i said before, amazing. She did such a great job, and it was a blessing to be able to witness it.
Waving hello to the kids thru the window as they came home…
Here she is, fresh from the oven!! At this point Shal was saying “I did it, I did it, I don’t have to push anymore!!!”
Wyatt was very nervous when the baby was crying, so he thought covering his ears would help buffer the noise….
The kids wanted to make a cake for the baby..
